Melbourne City FC sees the return of midfielder Massimo Murdocca from a hamstring injury. Murdocca will look forward to play some part in the match with the midfield dynamo facing his former side.
Ben Garuccio also makes the extended side as another option for John van’t Schip in the full-back position.
After picking up their second win of the season on Wednesday night, the Brisbane Roar’s injury list grew even further this week with the news that Johnny Warren medallist Thomas Broich would miss six weeks after going under the knife for an ankle injury.
The Roar do see the return of Socceroo Adam Sarota but there is still an injury cloud hovering over the former FC Utrecht man, with the final 16 decided 90 minutes before kick-off.
