Double the games, double the fun!

We’re set for a blockbuster double header at AAMI Park on Saturday! Our W-League side kick off the action at 5:00pm with a huge clash with the Jets, before our A-League side also host the Jets at 7:30pm.

A number of City’s stars have rallied together ahead of the clash, with a number of items and experiences up for auction with all funds going directly to Rural Aid and the Bushfire Disaster Appeal. There will also be a number of other attractions including a reptile petting zoo, dunk tank and sausage sizzle from 4:00pm at Gosch’s Paddock.

Home sweet home

After Round 14’s 2-2 draw with Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Staidum, City return to AAMI Park this weekend where they will host the Jets. Last round we saw Craig Noone score his second goal of the season and Nathaniel Atkinson unleash a rocket from range for his first goal in senior football.

Having won our last game at home 3-2 against Western United and with three matches at AAMI Park in our next four fixtures, now is the perfect time to start building a winning streak in front of the home fans. Tickets to this weekend’s match can be purchased here!

Goals for a good cause

So far this season, City has netted 27 goals in 13 games – the second most in the competition. Of those 27 goals, Maclaren has netted 12 goals and will be hungry to add to his tally when City take on the Jets.

Newcastle’s defence has struggled so far this season, conceding 27 goals which is the most of any team in the competition.

As they did last week’s clash with Brisbane, Club partner Dreamstreet will be donating $2,000 to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal for every goal City score, so let’s hope for a good City performance with plenty of goals!

Delbridge is back

Having sat out of last round with suspension after being red carded against Western United a fortnight ago, centre-back Harrison Delbridge will be available for selection ahead of Saturday’s encounter.

The Sydney-born defender has enjoyed his most consistent season to date, having started and played 90 minutes in every game he was available for except one. He also scored his first A-League goal earlier this season in the Christmas Derby.

A towering defender, Delbridge will be eager to get back to his early season form when he makes his return to the field.

Top four race heats up

As the final third of the season fast approaches the top four race begins to heat up. We currently sit in second spot on 23 points with Sydney FC 11 points clear on top.

With Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix hot on our heels, two points behind us, a win on Saturday is all the more important as we push towards securing a top two finish.
