Melbourne Heart FC has announced that tickets to the Hyundai A-League-s inaugural Melbourne Derby have now sold out.

With more than 48 hours until kick-off, the match is set to be a premier showcase of the Hyundai A-League, as a full house at the 30,000 capacity AAMI Park witnesses the birth of a new iconic sporting rivalry.

Chief Executive Officer Scott Munn believes the sell-out crowd is a definitive show of faith in the on-field quality of Australia-s domestic competition.

“The sell out is a fantastic result for the Hyundai A-League and ensures a capacity crowd will witness what will surely be remembered as one of the biggest football games in recent history,” he said.

“We have no doubt both sets of supporters will generate an electric atmosphere on the night, as cross-city rivals battle it out for the first time in the Hyundai A-League.

“And with the best football stadium in the country, AAMI Park, as the setting, the first ever staging of the Melbourne Derby is sure to be an amazing spectacle.”

With parking limited, public transport will be the quickest and easiest way to travel to AAMI Park, with bus, tram and train stops within close distance.
