Aloisi: We Are Refreshed And Ready

Melbourne Heart FC’s John Aloisi says the weekend break has refreshed the side ahead of the Club’s clash with Perth Glory on Saturday night.

Melbourne Heart FC-s John Aloisi says the weekend break has refreshed the side ahead of the Club-s clash with Perth Glory on Saturday night.

The playing group enjoyed a rare period of rest last week ahead of what will prove to be a hectic final month of the Hyundai A-League season.

Heart is facing the challenge of four games in 13 days this month as the Club bids to secure a finals berth in its inaugural season.

Aloisi said the weekend break provided the side with an opportunity to unwind before it makes its final charge towards the top six.

“Everyone is refreshed. Mentally, it was good for us to get a way for a few days, and also physically to recharge the batteries,” he said.

“The boys have trained hard these last three days, and we will be firing for the end of the season. The last six games are going to be really important.”

With Heart currently enjoying a fine run of form, winning the last three matches, Aloisi said the Club-s recent results have provided a massive boost.

“We needed those three wins. The game against Adelaide really changed it for us, winning right at the end gave us that boost to win the next two games,” he said.

“We now need to go on with it as winning those three games doesn-t mean anything if we can-t. We want to go over to Perth, get a result and hopefully go on from there.”
