Melbourne City’s championship winning midfielder Amy Jackson will headline a panel of elite female athletes to celebrate women in sport at the inaugural Jim Stynes Foundation Grassroots of Women in Sport Event (GROWS).
Presented by the Jim Stynes Foundation and VicHealth, GROWS will celebrate the achievements of women in sport and facilitate a thought provoking discussion about the growth of women’s sport and the exciting opportunities now available to female athletes of all ages.
Jackson, a dual W-League champion with City, will share her career story and pathway to success alongside an all-star panel of elite female athletes – including basketballer Rebecca Cole, tennis player Belinda Woolcock, Melbourne AFLW star Melissa Hickey and Australian netballer Madi Robinson.
The event will be held at the Showtime Events Centre on Thursday 7th September. Tickets are $65 for under-18's, $105 for adults and $100 for Melbourne City FC partners, and includes dinner, beverages and access to interactive food stations throughout the evening.
All proceeds are donated to the Jim Stynes Foundation beneficiaries Reach Foundation, Helping Hoops, Confident Girls, Lighthouse Foundation, Ladder, Ready Foundation and Beehive Foundation.
