A-League clubs will take possession of the high-tech covered team benches specifically designed for the recent AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, once the tournament ends. As mandatory directive from the FFA and a legacy benefit of the Asian Cup, the benches will be introduced without the roof and side panels at all Melbourne City FC matches from late February 2015. The benches will not come in to play until the fixture against Perth Glory on 22 February 2015. The benches are designed to provide a professional and consistent look across the Hyundai A-League.
On close liaison with the FFA, it is expected that some seats on the City-side level one of AAMI Park will have slightly restricted views due to the new bench structures. Should this be the case, Melbourne City FC will provide the capacity for any of its members to move seats free of charge should they wish to do so.
