Our previous record against Brisbane Roar this season will certainly give the team confidence ahead of tonight-s match at Suncorp Stadium.

It is always of help when the playing group has previously obtained a positive result or played well in the past when facing a particular opponent, however, I still believe Brisbane plays the best brand of football in the league.

Having claimed strong wins in recent weeks over Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane is back in form, and they are beginning to produce the type of performances which saw them set an Australian record unbeaten streak of 36 matches.

The challenge for us though now is to maintain the level of play which saw us defeat the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, and given we have already claimed a victory over Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium, our team knows it is capable of securing all three points.

While a win will undoubtedly help our finals cause, we are certainly not glancing at the table each week. We are approaching the final four matches of the season as we have every previous encounter so far, week by week.

We obviously want to complete the regular season as high on the table as possible, but we won-t judge our position until season-s end.

Although we are approaching this match with only a four-day break, I don-t feel we are disadvantaged any more than Brisbane, who only returned from Perth on Sunday.

The shortened week does change the training program somewhat, but we are ready for whatever Brisbane throws our way in tonight-s match.
