Melbourne Heart FC striker Eli Babalj has received international clearance after returning to the Club from Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.

Babalj has joined up with teammates in Sydney and with his clearance coming through in time, he is eligible to face the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Heart Head Coach John Aloisi said yesterday that Babalj would likely feature off the bench, although his condition would be assessed before a final decision is made.

“We-ll ask him how he feels…. He-s young which is always an advantage,” Aloisi said.

“Eli wants to play football, he wants to win games, score goals… he-s hungry.”

Vince Grella is also expected to feature.

“Vinnie will play a part in the game; he-s pulled up well from training, he-s looking fit,” Aloisi said.

“He-s actually looking really good in training.”

“We-ve been really happy.

“He-s worked really hard the last two months and then this week in training he looked as sharp as anyone out there [so I-m] pretty confident that if he does play a part in the game he-ll be ok.”
