Ben Garuccio, one of Australia’s hottest young properties at youth level, joined Melbourne City FC for the 2012-2013 campaign on a three-year deal. A fleet-footed winger, Garuccio has represented Australia at youth level and is one to watch for the future.
Garuccio’s signing illustrated the Club’s continued investment in youth, and has since gone on to make 24 senior appearances for Melbourne City FC since making his debut against the Central Coast Mariners in October 2012.
Garuccio’s versatility has seen him deployed at left-back on occasions for John van’t Schip’s side, and his ability to line-up in attack or defence makes the 20-year-old a valuable member of the squad ahead of the 2015/16 A-League season.
