64 teams competing for the ultimate prize to win a trip to City Football Academy, Manchester to face Manchester City’s Academy team.

Sporting Schools

Melbourne City FC and our Partner Providers are delivering the new Sporting Schools program. Every school is eligible for funding from the Australian Sports Commission for this program.

All that a school needs to do is:

1 Register for Sporting Schools and apply for funding.

2. Select “Football” in your local area.

3. Select Melbourne City FC or a partner provider and give us a call to book in a program.

Melbourne City FC GSV 5 a side Tournament

Congratulations to Star of the Sea on winning both the Senior and Junior Divisions of the Melbourne City GSV 5 a side competition at Knox Regional Centre recently. 18 teams played in a hard fought contest in freezing conditions and all played in the spirit of fair play. Thank you to all the teams involved.

Melbourne City Development grants in Ballarat

Melbourne City FC is donating $5,000 to the Melbourne City FC Development Grant. The money can be used to assist and enable young footballers (up to the age of 20 years old) within Ballarat and surrounding districts to participate in football.

The assistance may include:

Contribution towards fees for those unable to afford to join a club.
Contribution towards registration costs of elite development programs for talented players who are unable to afford such costs.
Contribution towards the cost of Regional and State team representation for those unable to afford it.
Contribution towards the cost of coaching or referring courses for young people.

Consideration may also be given to assist clubs in starting up programs designed to increase participation of girls or people with a disability.
