See what Melbourne City FC have been up to in the community over the past week with the School Holiday Clinics headlining the update.

City Kids Clinic
A beautiful Autumn day welcomed 75 enthusiastic young boys and girls who took part in Melbourne City’s “City Kids” School Holiday Program which was conducted on Monday 30th March at the Academy Pitches at La Trobe University.

The children aged 5-12 were treated to expert coaching from NPL staff Joe Montemurro, Lachie Armstrong and Davey van’t Schip along with the Melbourne City community staff. A strong emphasis throughout the clinic was on creativity within a 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 situation with all players encouraged to show their skills off and score plenty of goals!

ALL GIRLS Football Clinic

On Monday 30 March 2015, 22 Girls aged between 12 to 18 years old participated in the Melbourne City FC All Girls Football match. In testing conditions at the Melbourne City FC Academy Pitches, the girls played with great intensity and skill with aim to attack at a fast pace. It was an end-to-end affair with plenty of wing play and shots driven low to the far corner of the goal with the thrilling nine goal contest ending 5-4.

For a number of girls aged between 12-18 years old, it was a great opportunity to play a match on the Academy Pitches which are home to the National Youth League and National Premier League sides

All players who participated were selected from past Melbourne City All Girls School Holiday Programs, Melbourne City Girls School Tournaments (Waverley Christian College, Emmaus College and Rowville Secondary) and local clubs (Ringwood City SC, Kensington Junior Girls SC, Coerver and Bundoora United SC) who have continuously supported the Club’s Football Programs.

Congratulations to all for an entertaining match.
