It’s been a busy week in the community this week as our team brought plenty of football fun to our city. See where the Club has been this week.

Melbourne City College of Football Affiliates Cup

Melbourne City held its annual affiliates cup which brought together our affiliate schools for the competition. Rowville Secondary College took out the senior boys tournament with a 3-0 win over Overnewton College with the girls final to be played on Thursday. We would like to thank all the schools that participated in the tournament!

Northern Autism School Clinic

Our CITC team were out at the Northen Autism School in Bundoora and Lalor which saw students join in with our football sessions and team energisers as part of the program.

We will be also holding our All Abilities Clinic at CFA Melbourne on Wednesday 4 October. Click here to register for the free clinic aimed towards children with a disability.

Walk to School Winners

Melbourne City visited Yinnar South Primary School this week as winners of the VicHealth Walk to School month. Yinnar covered the most distance in the region, winning two exclusive clinics including a football pack as part of their prize.

Clinics and Events

  • We headed to the south-east to visit Sorrento Primary School to deliver a fun football clinic.
  • Our clinics took us to Newport Gardens Primary School where students from the Williamstown SC presentation day were present.
  • The club held a clinic at Box Hill High School for AIME students who as part of the I Speak Football program which helps participants use football as a positive social tool.
  • Daniel Arzani and Osama Malik visited Ivanhoe Grammar School to meet players from the Girls First Team. The group asked questions and found out how the players balanced their study and football.
