City confirm departure of Adrian Luna

After two seasons at City, we can confirm the departure of midfielder Adrian Luna.

The Uruguayan leaves the Club as an A-League Champion having played a pivotal role in this season’s Premiership and Championship double.

Adrian Luna said:

“It was a pleasure for me to be able to play for this great club and to win two trophies after so many years of waiting for our fans and staff.

“I want to thank the Club for opening the doors to me, the staff, all my teammates and our wonderful fans for making me feel at home from day one.

“I wish the club a lot of success. Without a doubt they are on the right track.”

Melbourne City Director of Football Michael Petrillo said:

“Adrian has been a quality player during his time at the Club and I want to thank him for his contribution during the past two seasons and wish him all the best.”

In total, Luna made 51 appearances, scored 8 goals and assisted a further 10 times.
