Melbourne City’s community team were at Knox Regional Football Centre in support of the Girls Sport Victoria Tournament on Thurday 14 July.
The tournament saw 22 schools compete in the 5-a-side tournament where senior and junior teams went head to head at Knox’s football fives cages.
The day saw Star of the Sea College defeat Sienna College in both the junior and senior pools, winning 6-1 and 3-2 respectively.
The sportsmanship demonstrated by all teams was credit to all schools in a day full of football, fun and empowerment for young females to stay active.
