City’s Matildas begin Asian conquest

The Matildas have begun their chase for Asian glory, kicking-off the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Jordan with a 0-0 draw against South Korea. Lydia Williams and Steph Catley started for Alen Stajcic’s side while Aivi Luik, Alanna Kennedy, Kyah Simon and Larissa Crummer took their place on the bench in the stalemate. Gomes attends second FUT Champions Weekend in Manchester

Melbourne City eSports player Marcus Gomes is off to Manchester this week for the second FIFA FUT Champions weekend. Gomes represents Australia and Melbourne City in the tournament on the XBOX that brings together the best 128 players from around the globe to compete for the ultimate prize. Gomes’ absence will mean Josh Wood will front up for City in the E-League against Wellington Phoenix on Thursday.
