Melbourne City FC’s Elimination Final adversaries have been confirmed with Brisbane Roar set to make the trip to Melbourne for a blockbuster encounter at AAMI Park this Friday night.
Brisbane secured a 3-2 win over Perth Glory at nib Stadium in Western Australia on Saturday to put themselves in pole position prior to the final match of the regular A-League season between finals hopefuls Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United.
Requiring a win to leapfrog Brisbane, Wanderers were defeated 3-2 by United, giving John Aloisi’s side the final available Finals Series qualification position.
It sets up an intriguing clash between Warren Joyce’s side, which confirmed third position in the final round of the season, against John Aloisi’s team.
