A talented marksman who has demonstrated his ability to perform at Hyundai A-League level and overseas, Corey Gameiro will be looking to build upon the vast potential that has seen him become a part of Australia’s national team set up in recent years.

After signing for English Premier League outfit Fulham in 2009, Gameiro underwent loan spells at FC Eindhoven and Wellington Phoenix before joining Sydney FC on a permanent two-year deal in 2013.

Gameiro made 21 appearances for the Sky Blues and emerged as a star of Sydney’s attack last season, netting twice in the first five A-League matches.

Melbourne City FC fans were exposed to Gameiro’s talent when he scored against John van’t Schip’s team in the Westfield FFA Cup, before netting a superb effort against City in the opening match of the 2014/15 campaign.

The Club’s third signing of the off-season following the additions of Ivan Franjic and Steve Kuzmanovski, Gameiro joins Melbourne City FC on a two-year deal which will tie him to the club until the end of 2017.
