COUNTDOWN: 4 Days!

Four days remain until the first day of the 2012-13 Hyundai A-League season.

Simon Colosimo, the Heart-s number 4 will look to be a constant performer in the Heart’s defence once more this season, as the Club looks to develop a new generation of young defenders.

Colosimo was a fantastic partner for the likes of Brendan Hamill and Curtis Good last season, who have both since secured big moves overseas over the off-season.

Playing alongside a defender of Colosimo-s experience and quality would have undoubtedly served those two well, and the likes of David Vrankovic, who has come into help replace those defensive departures, will be hoping for a similar experience alongside the club-s inaugural captain.

The Heart recorded their first ever competitive win in the A-League on the 4th of September, 2010, when they beat North Queensland Fury, courtesy of an 11th minute goal from Nick Kalmar.

Last season-s win over Sydney by 4 goals ranks as the club-s highest ever victory. In one of Heart-s best performance of the club-s young history, the team demolished Sydney on enemy turf, with goals from Eli Babalj, Mate Dugandzic, Jason Hoffman and Alex Terra sealing an emphatic win.

4 is also the amount of appearances made by Craig Goodwin before his departure to Newcastle Jets, and is also the number of times that Paul Reid played for the club in his guest stint, as well as Kliment Taseki.
