On Monday, 30 young leaders from around the world had a life-changing experience at City Football Academy in Manchester on the opening day of the second Cityzens Giving Young Leaders Summit.

The week-long event is designed to help the young leaders develop their leadership skills and learn from each other through a series of workshops and activities.

Day one consisted of a variety of exciting activities, including introductions, reconnecting, leadership workshops and football coaching techniques.

Melbourne City FC Game Development Coordinator, Melissa Missailidis, reflected on an action-packed opening day.

“We spent some time interacting with other individuals and groups from different countries, and focused on our individual leadership journeys and shared our experiences with the group,” she said.

“Listening to the other young leaders’ stories was very inspiring and having access to the amazing facilities here at Manchester City is a surreal feeling.”
