Recovering from a long road trip such as that to Perth is always difficult.

Recovering from a long road trip such as that to Perth is always difficult.

However, the win makes it much easier, helping boost the overall confidence and moral of the team. Everyone has pulled up well and are ready for the challenge of Victory on Friday night.

While the Derby is obviously a special event, we haven-t altered our training plans or preparations for the match at all.

We have approached the match in the same vein as we do with other opponents every week. We-ve analysed them, looked at their strengths, weaknesses and readied ourselves for the challenges we may face.

However, we will try to play our own game, and won-t be making any special changes to the way we tackle the match, particularly with the match day squad.

The team did well in Perth, so under normal circumstances, we wouldn-t make any changes, but I have to say, from what I have seen this week, the boys who have been staying behind and haven-t featured in the Hyundai A-League have trained very well.

If something happens such as an injury or a player isn-t in the form he should be, there will be no reason not to change as we have a very strong squad at the moment.
