The upcoming match against Perth Glory is set to be a very interesting match and a difficult test for our side.

Perth won their first game and played some good football, especially in the first half, while in contrast, we need to bounce back from our loss against Newcastle.

We had a good week, trained well and have looked very closely at the footage of Perth to see where we can hurt them. But we also saw where their strengths are, so hopefully we-ll be prepared for our first win.

While the attacking third performed well last week and there were a lot of positive signs, such as our young brigade making its mark and the introduction of seven new players to the starting eleven, we need to forget about that now.

Perth is a new game, a new chance to secure three points and we need to focus on what we have to do at AAMI Park on Sunday. Every game is going to be different, and that-s why we prepared ourselves this week focusing solely on Perth, so hopefully we can play some good football.

Although Clint Bolton remains at least a week away from returning to action, we are confident in Nikola Roganovic-s ability to once again step up into the starting goalkeeper role as he-s a very good goalkeeper. Although losing like we did on Saturday is not nice, especially if you’re making your first appearance, he needs to put the match behind him.

Nikola knows what it means to play Hyundai A-League football now and can draw upon the experience from that first match as we face the Perth Glory.
