We are used to seeing Bruno Fornaroli’s name among the nominees for the Etihad Player of the Month award, and this month is no exception.
Fornaroli has his eyes set on matching his record-breaking debut season with City, with a superb brace against reigning champions Adelaide United, taking the captain’s tally to four goals from as many A-League matches this month.
Throw in another Melbourne Derby goal for good measure, and the Uruguayan is a strong candidate to take home October’s award.

Luke Brattan’s has looked to pick up where he left off with his football in Australia and hasn’t he impressed upon his return.
Brattan has enjoyed a superb month of football with man-of-the-match displays in both Melbourne Derby wins, controlling the City engine room and providing the creative spark going forward with a team high ten chances created.
He doesn’t mind finding the back of the net either, with a brilliant long-range strike against Melbourne Victory in the FFA Cup Semi Final adding to his other Melbourne Derby goal in the 4-1 league win at Etihad Stadium, Brattan will undoubtedly be a strong favourite for the October award.
Fernando Brandan
He may be small in stature, but Fernando Brandan has already developed a reputation as a big game player during the early stages of his A-League career.
The diminutive Argentine has added another dimension to City’s free-scoring attack, netting in both Melbourne Derbies and against Perth Glory to take his tally to four goals in all competitions this season.
Boasting an array of tricks, a sheer determination to win every contest and extreme passion when celebrating his goals, Fernando has quickly endeared himself to the City faithful and is well placed to take out his maiden Etihad Player of the Month Award.
