Melbourne Heart received an incredible boost of support from the Club-s passionate Red and White supporters at a successful Family Day today.

Over 1000 fans came through the gates at La Trobe University-s Bundoora campus playing fields for an engaging day of fun, family and football.

Fans and players mingled together, basking in the afternoon sunshine, as Richard Garcia flipped sausages on the barbecue, Jason Hoffman held the keenly contested ‘Hoffman-s Crossbar Challenge- and Clint Bolton led a scavenger hunt.

David Williams tried his luck with the whistle, officiating small-sided games, while new signings Josip Tadic and Patrick Gerhardt tried their luck playing on opposing teams with young aspiring players.

The Club-s new 2012-13 Kappa merchandise proved hot property at the merchandise and membership tents, while fans were happy to sign up, or be signed on, as the players provided autographs on various Heart paraphernalia/

The whole first team squad received rapturous applause from their supporters as they were announced for the upcoming season, while head coach John Aloisi thanked the fans for a fantastic turnout and for their ongoing support.
