Mr. Lowy, 81, was a key architect behind the launch of the Hyundai A-League and Australia-s push into Asia, catapulting football firmly into the domestic sporting consciousness.

Overseeing the Socceroos qualification to successive FIFA World Cup Finals, Mr. Lowy stewardship has ushered in a period of unparalleled growth and success in Australian football, laying the foundation for a long and enduring future.

“The Club is delighted to be hosting FFA Chairman Mr. Frank Lowy at our annual Heart of Business Function next week,” Melbourne Heart FC Chairman Peter Sidwell said.

“There could not be a better time for Mr. Lowy to outline his view on the Australian football landscape as the current season approaches its conclusion.

“We thank Mr. Lowy for his attendance, and look forward to hearing his thoughts on the state of the game, and his vision for the future.”

Staged at the Crown Entertainment Complex, the 2012 Heart of Business function will feature some of the most prominent members of Australian football and corporate life, including News Limited CEO Kim Williams and Football Federation Australia CEO Ben Buckley.
