Football Federation Australia has confirmed the dates and competition format of the 2018 edition of the FFA Cup, with the final to be played in October for the first time.
2016 Champions Melbourne City will begin their campaign between 24 July and 8 August in the Round of 32 of the competition with the draw to take place live on FOX Sports on Tuesday 26 June.
2018’s edition of the FFA Cup will see 772 clubs compete in the competition with 761 having already participated in the preliminary rounds and the 10 A-League clubs and NPL Champions Heidelberg United still to compete in the final 32.
The Round of 16 will be held between 21-29 August, Quarter Finals between 18-26 September, Semi Final on 6-7 October and the Final on Wednesday 31 October.
