Dates, venue and time for Melbourne City FC’s Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 match against Edgworth Eagles has been confirmed by Football Federation Australia with the sides facing each other on Tuesday 4 August at Magic Park, kick-off 7:30pm
Melbourne City FC will head to Newcastle and the suburb of Broadmeadow (15 minutes from the city centre) to face ‘Edgy’ in the first round of the cup.
The match will be played at the home of fellow FFA Cup hopefuls Broadmeadow Magic with the lighting at Edgeworth’s home ground insufficient for broadcast standards.
Magic Park is only a stone’s throw away from Hunter Stadium, the home of the Newcastle Jets, and will host the match between Broadmeadow Magic and Victoria’s Heidelberg United the week before.
