Melbourne City will continue their FFA Cup journey on Wednesday 29 August as they take on Newcastle Jets in the Round of 16 of the national cup competition at AAMI Park.
City secured their passage to the last 16 with a 1-0 extra time win over Brisbane Roar and will look to book their progression to the Quarter Finals in a 2017/18 Semi Final replay.
The Jets – who progressed with a 1-0 win over Queensland member federation side Gold Coast Knights – will appear in the Round of 16 for the first time, being eliminated in the Round of 32 of the past four editions of the competition.
