Tickets are now on sale for Melbourne City FC’s Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 clash against Wellington Phoenix on Wednesday 26 August at AAMI Park.
In a rematch of last season’s Hyundai A-League Elimination Final, City welcomes the New Zealand outfit to its home ground in a FFA Cup clash as John van’t Schip’s side aims to progress to the Quarter Finals.
In what looms as a challenging encounter for City, Wellington’s new-look side will visit Melbourne keen to avenge their 2-0 loss against in May, which knocked Ernie Merrick’s side out of the Finals Series.
The match, which will kick off at 7.30pm at AAMI Park, will give fans the chance to see Melbourne City in competitive action at AAMI Park ahead of the 2015/16 season.
van’t Schip was looking forward to playing in Melbourne at the Club’s home at AAMI Park.
“We’re really looking forward to playing our Round of 16 match in front of our members and fans in Melbourne,” van’t Schip said.
“The FFA Cup is a competition that is very important to us and the team is preparing for what will be a challenging match against a very good Phoenix side.
“We encourage all of our members and fans to come out and support the team, get behind our new signings and help us progress to the next round.”
City will look to continue their run in this year’s competition, after Aaron Mooy’s set piece heroics secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Northern NSW side Edgeworth Eagles in the Round of 32 encounter.
The match will be FREE to existing 2015/16 Melbourne City FC members as well as those who sign up as a member for the 2015/16 season before 5pm, Tuesday 25 August 2015. Members will be emailed an e-ticket to print prior to the match.
For members wishing to bring along additional friends and family or football fans wanting to experience the magic of the cup, tickets are now available for purchase on Ticketek.
Tickets* will commence at $25 (Adult), $17 (Concession) $60 (Family, 2 Adults, 2 Children) and $6 Junior. AAMI Park will be configured to allow for General Admission seating only, with entry via Gate 7 on the western side.
