Fred underwent an MRI scan today to assess the damage of the injury and the scans confirmed the strain in his left quad muscle.

Fred sustained the injury in the 53rd minute of last night-s match and was eventually replaced by Nick Kalmar in the 55th minute.

The Brazilian has played 13 matches for the Heart this season.
