Melbourne Heart FC held a successful goalkeeper clinic last Thursday with over 20 aspiring goalkeepers learning key techniques from the Red and White-s number one Andrew Redmayne.

Redmayne, alongside former goalkeeper Joey Didulica, conducted the clinic at the La Trobe University playing fields with children who travelled from as far as Rutherglen, Mt Gambier and Ocean Grove to learn from Melbourne Heart-s best custodians.

Each keeper was taken through a series of techniques and game scenarios and were given a special Melbourne Heart ‘keepers jersey.

Melbourne Heart General Manager, Community, Sue Crow praised the clinic-s success.

“The Melbourne Heart Goalkeeper Clinic is always one of our very popular clinics and this year we had our biggest turnout with 20 kids coming along to learn from our goalkeeping coaches,” Crow said.

“Despite the popular clinic booking out early, the kids travelled from far afield and the clinic was really well received.

“The participants also got the opportunity to meet former number one Clint Bolton who was fantastic with the kids.”

Melbourne Heart are currently holding a number of School Holiday Clinics, including Girls with Heart and Mate-s Mates.
