GALLERY: Myanmar comes to CFA Melbourne

Myanmar’s under-20s national team has set up camp in Melbourne ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015, which kicks off in New Zealand at end of May and team has made Melbourne City FC’s training base at the City Football Academy, Melbourne, its home for preparations as it leads into its inaugural tournament.

One of the surprise packages of the Asian qualifiers, Myanmar qualified for New Zealand 2015 in one of the four Asia berths and has been drawn in Group A, which includes the hosts, Ukraine and the United States.

The Myanmar team will be based at the CFA before heading to New Zealand to play the US in the opening round of the tournament on May 30, at the Northland Events Centre, Whangaeri. 

Myanmar commenced training at the CFA last Thursday and played a Melbourne City FC development squad in a practice match, which included players from both the National Premier Leagues and under-20s sides on Monday.
