Born in Long Island, New York, Jasmyne Spencer is a 28-year-old footballer with a wealth of experience.
Around the globe
Originally from America, football has seen Jasmyne travel the world. She has played for nine different teams in her professional career and travelled across four different countries.
In 2012, her journey began playing for New York Fury before moving to Danish side Brøndby IF. She would go on to play for Washington Spirit, Western New York Flash, Orlando Pride and Seattle Reign in America as well as Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.
City will be the third team Spencer has played for in the W-League, following stints with Sydney FC and Canberra United.
Two players, three continents
Jasmyne’s move to City will see the attacker reunite with fellow new-signing Theresa Nielsen.
The pair have played for three different teams together in three different continents.
It all started in 2012 when Jasmyne joined Theresa’s Brøndby IF, before the pair were both picked up by Seattle Reign earlier this year and then again at City.
Multi-talented
Drawing inspiration from her on-field attire, Jasmyne established an apparel brand specialising in comfortable headbands.
After owning over one-hundred headbands herself, the creative footballer decided to establish the brand and share a little piece of herself with each product.
