Tickets for eligible junior players are currently being distributed among local clubs as preparations for Heart-s stay in the Latrobe Valley gain momentum.
The squad will arrive in Morwell on July 6 for the Westpac Community Football Festival, engaging with local clubs and businesses before staging its first ever match against Hyundai A-League opposition on Victorian soil two days later on July 8.
Qantas Socceroos Simon Colosimo and Clint Bolton are among the players poised to potentially play a role in the encounter, which is set to be a pivotal moment in the Club-s pre-season.
General Manager of Community Sue Crow thanked the Latrobe City Council for its support of the event.
“The Club is grateful to the Latrobe City Council for helping pave the way for Gippsland Soccer League youngsters to receive free access to our match against the Jets,” Crow said.
“The match will provide a wonderful opportunity for the Latrobe Valley population to witness elite level football first hand, and we are delighted to be bringing the Hyundai A-League to an area which provided the sport with such support over many years.”
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for juniors/concessions, while a family pass can be purchased for $25, and will be available at the gate or from the following Westpac branches:
