Melbourne Heart FC’s community clinic ‘Girls with Heart’ was hailed a success yesterday as 45 enthusiastic girls attended the development workshop at Ringwood City Soccer Club.

National Youth League players Andrew Mullet and Paolo Retre helped to host the clinic, alongside Game Development Officer Josh Bondin.

Matilda Steph Catley and Melbourne Heart-s Louisa Bisby inspired the young footballers with motivational speeches and interactive drills.

“The clinic was a fantastic success and the girls enjoyed themselves immensely,” General Manager of Community Sue Crow said.

“It is important to provide these opportunities to aspiring young females and encourage them to become involved in the game.

“To hear Steph and Louisa’s experiences would have been a rewarding exercise, but most importantly, the girls had fun and enjoyed themselves.”

Girls with Heart is supported by the Reagan Milstein Foundation and Heart’s grassroots sponsor, That! Dairy Snack.
