Melbourne Heart FC rising star Curtis Good says he enjoyed the challenge of playing at left back during last weekend-s match against Gold Coast United.

Good played out Friday night-s win against the Gold Coast in a less familiar position on the left of defence, a role that demanded a significant amount of running from the traditionally central defender.

While Good acknowledged the physical demands of the role, admitting he found the strain challenging, the 18-year old said he is content to simply feature in the starting eleven, regardless of position.

“I found it interesting, it was a good game and I played a good first half. But I found it a bit difficult physically towards the end, but it was good,” he said.

He says that despite being physically drained towards the end of the match, he is happy playing wherever.

“Yeah I enjoyed playing there; I enjoy playing wherever… but I found it a bit difficult physically towards the end, but it was good.”

Good found the experience in Asia was great, with the team playing well despite conditions, managing to come away from the stage with maximum points.

“It was great… still together we played well. It was very hot, and the pitches aren-t like over here, it was just mud and dirt.”

“We managed to play some good football over there, and we won every game actually, so we did what we needed to do to qualify.”
