Melbourne Heart FC arrives in Albury Wodonga today for the opening leg of the Westpac Community Football Festival.

A travelling party including Club Captain Simon Colosimo will arrive in the twin cities today for the start of the three day football extravaganza which sees Heart immerse itself in the local community.

The opening event of the festival is a gala day at Wodonga Senior Secondary College before Head Coach John van ‘t Schip helms a Coach the Coach seminar for the local football community.

Coach the Coach has proved to be one of Heart-s most successful community programs, providing an insight into the latest technical and tactical innovations in addition to the on-field philosophy behind the Red and White-s.

The Westpac Community Football Festival will culminate in a friendly match on Friday night against the AWFA representative team at the La Trobe University Albury Wodonga campus, in an important tune up match as Heart prepares for its assault on the Hyundai A-League.
