Melbourne Heart kicks off Fire Action Week

Melbourne Heart FC helped to kick off Fire Action Week alongside the CFA with a FireReady clinic at Epping Primary School on Monday.

Striker Dylan Macallister and midfielder Paulo Retre ran students through important drills, while parents talked with Epping Fire Brigade members about how to plan and prepare for fire danger during Summer.

Fire Action Week continues all week, culminating in CFA Sunday where hundreds of CFA brigades will open their doors to the public.

Schools Cup curtain-raiser Melbourne Heart FC hosted the inaugural Melbourne Heart Schools Cup grand final at AAMI Park, with PEGS defeating Ivanhoe Grammar 2-1 in a curtain-raiser to the Hyundai A-League match on Friday night. Community Clinics Over the past week the Community Dept have been conducting clinics in the following Primary schools: Springvale Rise PS, Keysborough PS and Monbulk PS as well as coordinating a number of events with SEDA, including the Melbourne Heart Girls Day and SEDA Awards and Presentation Days.

Women with Heart Melbourne Heart FC female members and fans are invited to enjoy afternoon tea before Melbourne Heart FC takes on Adelaide United on Sunday 1 December.

Clint Bolton will MC the afternoon tea and will welcome special guests Orlando Engelaar and author Paul Connolly.
