Melbourne Heart FC has unveiled its inaugural futsal squad ahead of this weekend-s opening round of the hummel F-League at YMCA Derrimut.
Head Coach Edgard Vatcky selected a 20-man squad to feature in the competition, which will take place over five weekends in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
During each hummel F-League series, the competing sides will play three matches, with Heart scheduled to open its campaign against Boomerangs FS on Saturday at 1pm.
Heart will round out its participation in Series One with matches against the Parramatta Blues on Sunday at 10am and the St Albans Strikers in a derby clash at 6pm.
The Club-s partnership with Cobras Futsal marks the first time a Hyundai A-League club has expanded its scope beyond football, with the fielding of a team in the five-a-side game highlighting Heart-s ambitions to develop into a multi-faceted football institution.
