2013-14 Hyundai A-League Fixture

Melbourne Heart FC have been provided with a total of eight Friday night fixtures in the 2013-14 Hyundai A-league Fixture announced today, including five Friday nights at home.

The team-s season kicks off in similar fashion as this year with an away derby against Melbourne Victory at Etihad stadium. Heart-s first home game will see current Hyundai A-league champions Central Coast Mariners visit on Saturday October 19 at AAMI Park.

With a Friday night double-header at home on 8 and 15 November against Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers respectively, as well as two home derbies against Melbourne Victory on 21 December and 1 March, there will be plenty of action coming the way of the heart fans this season.

Melbourne Heart CEO Scott Munn said he is pleased with the changes compared to last year:

“We-re delighted that we have three more Friday night games at home this season and importantly that our players have a good travel schedule to prepare for their matches on the road.

“With increased exposure on free to air TV this season, added to having two home games against both Sydney and Western Sydney, this is an exciting time for us.

“We also have the possibility of staging a regional match next February and are currently in advanced discussions with the FFA. We will hopefully make some announcements in the next couple of weeks on that.”
