Melbourne Heart FC is set to lend a hand and help raise money for the Royal Children-s Hospital during the Good Friday Appeal tomorrow.

Head Coach John van ‘t Schip will assist in manning the phones and taking calls from viewers keen to donate funds to the cause, which strives to raise enough money to ensure all children with life threatening illnesses receive the best possible medical and clinical care.

Van ‘t Schip said he hopes Victorians donate generously during tomorrow-s appeal, which was first staged in 1931 and has since become a State institution.

“I am looking forward to volunteering tomorrow and answering phones to help the Royal Children-s Hospital raise funds and maybe break last year-s record,” he said.

“I hope all Melbourne Heart FC take the opportunity to donate and help contribute to this important cause. I know I will”

Melbourne Heart FC rising star Kamal Ibrahim and two additional Heart players will also take part in the event at Melbourne-s Etihad Stadium tomorrow morning.

From 10am to 11am, Ibrahim and others will assist Victoria Police in its annual barbeque on the stadium concourse, and will be available to sign autographs, talk Melbourne Heart FC and assist those taking part in a football target shootout competition.
