A ten-man Melbourne Heart FC were forced to churn out a gutsy 3-2 win over Brisbane Roar, despite establishing a seemingly comfortable 3-0 lead, to shoot into the top six of the Hyundai A-League.

A ten-man Melbourne Heart FC were forced to churn out a gutsy 3-2 win over Brisbane Roar, despite establishing a seemingly comfortable 3-0 lead to shoot into the top six of the Hyundai A-League.

Heart established a 3-0 lead by thr 53rd minute mark before David Williams received his marching orders and the home side were forced to defend its lead for the final 23 minutes.

Williams was an early goal-scoring hero for Heart, handing the Red and White a 1-0 lead inside the first quarter of an hour.

Josip Tadic doubled the score 10 minutes before the break, before Fred sent the Reds 3-0 up.

Bershart Berisha pulled two goals back for the visitors in two minutes, but Heart hung on for the win.
