Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck has named three Melbourne Heart FC players in his provisional squad of 25 for the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) East Asian Cup 2013 qualifying tournament.

Heart trio Richard Garcia, Aziz Behich and Michael Marrone will feature in the tournament, held from 1-9 December 2012 in Hong Kong, which will see them miss the Red and White-s matches against Sydney FC and Perth Glory in round nine and 10, respectively, if they make the final cut.

Behich-s selection is on the back of his debut for the Socceroos against South Korea in an international friendly last Wednesday, while Garcia and Marrone return to the national scene after varying absences.

Marrone received his first call-up from former national coach Pim Verbeek in preparation for the match against Indonesia in Brisbane on 3 March 2010, before being selected to play against Saudi Arabia national football team in a World Cup qualification match in February this year.

Garcia, who featured for the Socceroos in the 2010 World Cup campaign in South Africa, has made 13 appearances for the national team.

Former Heart striker Eli Babalj has also been named in Osieck’s squad.

The Qantas Socceroos will assemble in Sydney for a pre-tournament camp from 26-29 November and will depart for Hong Kong on 30 November. Osieck will name his final squad that will travel to the tournament on Thursday 29 November.
