Heart trio selected for Young Socceroos Tour
Football Federation Australia has confirmed three Melbourne Heart FC players have been selected in the final squad for the Young Socceroos European tour.
Ben Garuccio, David Vrankovic and Jeremy Walker have been chosen for the matches against the Netherlands U-21 National team and against Germany U-21, with the team travelling out from Sydney this Sunday and returning Sunday 2 June.
Melbourne Heart CEO Scott Munn says the players have all earned their call up through hard work:
“The club couldn-t be happier for them as all three have shown increased hunger to succeed and their different skills played a key role in the Melbourne Heart team this year. They all have a very bright future and everyone will no doubt see even more development in the coming season”
On return to Australia, all Young Socceroos will then learn if they have been selected in the final squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, taking place between 21 June and 13 July.
