With just under two months until the kick-off of the Hyundai A-League season, the match looms as an important test ahead of Heart-s friendly against Newcastle in Morwell on Friday 19 August at the La Trobe City Sports and Entertainment Stadium.
General Manager, Football Operations John Didulica said the match will provide the Club with an opportunity to further fine tune its preparations.
“It’s our first game in Melbourne with Williams and Maycon, and we are very excited for them to showcase their ability at one of the most storied venues in Australian football,” Didulica said.
“The match will also provide a fantastic opportunity for Mate Dugandzic and Nick Kalmar to play against a team and at a stadium which has played such an important part in their careers.
“We are delighted to be able to recognise the contribution the Knights have made to the careers of these two players in addition of course to Adrian Zahra, who is another to have made his mark with the Club.”
