Melbourne Heart FC will wear its fan designed ISC third jersey during its match against the Central Coast Mariners at AAMI Park tonight.

The Club, in conjunction with new apparel partner ISC, offered supporters the chance to be part of the on-field team and submit their design for a ‘Third Jersey-.

The competition provided budding designers with the chance to fulfil their dream and see their creation transformed into reality.

Chief Execitive Officer Scott Munn thanked ISC for their support of the online initiative, stating the competition clearly demonstrates Heart-s commitment to its supporters.

“We would like to thank ISC for their support of this fantastic initiative, which allowed our supporter base to don their creative hats and become part of the on-field team,” he said.

“The Club was stunned by the standard of entries produced by our supporters and we were faced with a difficult task in ultimately selecting a winner.

“While all three finalists would have been worthy of being worn by our team, we would like to congratulate Steven Forbes for providing the winning design.”

The winning design, created by Red and White Unite co-founder Steven Forbes, was one of the early front runners in the competition, garnering early support in the social media sphere, earning a place in the final three alongside jerseys by fellow Heart members Sam Adra and Maxim Shevchuk.

The final showcase was then judged by a panel including Melbourne Heart FC Captain Simon Colosimo and Socceroo legend John Aloisi, who made the final decision.

Forbes said he is delighted to have been selected as the winner of the competition, and looks forward to seeing his jersey in action during the upcoming season.

“It’s obviously amazing to know l to have been selected as the winner of the ISC Third Jersey competition and that my shirt will be used in the A-League,” he said.

“The other two designs that made it through to the final were equally impressive and would have been deserving of the prize so I was up against some tough opposition. I’d like to thank both ISC and Melbourne Heart for this initiative, and look forward to the game tonight.”
