Consistency is the number one priority for Melbourne Heart FC-s National Youth League side as it heads north to take on Sydney FC-s Youth side at Leichardt Oval this afternoon.

On the back of an impressive 3-0 victory over Newcastle Jets last Saturday, the Heart will look to consolidate its progress in the past two weeks with a second consecutive win for the first time this season.

Heart will be forced to reshuffle as a result of Heart-s senior side losing three players to Qantas Socceroos duties.

Head Coach John Aloisi has promoted Jeremy Walker to his travelling squad for tomorrow-s Hyundai A-League match against Sydney FC, while Andrew Redmayne will return to senior duties after keeping a clean sheet for the Youth team against the Jets last weekend.

Youth coach Joe Palatsides will have Golgol Mebrahtu as an option once again, while Irishman Steven Gray could make his competitive debut for Heart-s youth team.

Alaistair Bray is likely to reclaim his spot as the Youth League-s number one, while Heart-s striking stocks will be bolstered by the return of Stefan Mauk from suspension.

Cameron Edwards, son of Alistair of Football Federation Australia, and James Karvelis are late call-ups to make up the travelling party of 15.

“Coming off a good win last week, we are very eager to continue our recent good form,” Palatsides said.

“We realise it-s a difficult away game against a good team; however, our preparation leading into this game has been good so we will be entering the game with confidence.
