Melbourne Heart FC’s Foxtel National Youth League side look to extend its promising start to the season with a win over Western Sydney Wanderers at Marconi Stadium on Saturday.

Melbourne Heart’s NYL team sit fourth on the FNYL ladder with seven points from the opening four rounds after four matches on the road.

Most recently the side drew 1-1 with a physical Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) outfit in Canberra last weekend, while the side enjoyed two out of three wins on the road, including victories against Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar.

Western Sydney sit second last on the FNYL ladder and Heart’s coach Joe Palatsides hopes the side will take advantage of the Wanderers’ slow start to the season.

“We’ve performed quite well in the first four games, which were all very hard away games,” Palatsides said.

“Over the last two games, we’ve conceded goals in the last mins of the game which have cost us points, so we have addressed that this week.

“We are looking forward to putting in another in another good performance this week and coming home with a win.”

Saturday’s match kicks off at Marconi Stadium from 3pm.
