Melbourne Heart FC’s National Youth League side will look to stretch its unbeaten run to five matches against table topping Central Coast Mariners in Gosford today.

Heart has scored 11 goals in its last three matches, knocking off the Newcastle Jets, Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar, despite its squad being stretched but injury and unavailability, but will receive an injection of reinforcements against the yellow and navy today.

Senior goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne is set to feature in coach Joe Palatsides- squad, while David Vrankovic and Steven Gray may also play roles for the youth team.

Palatsides also welcomes back Sam Mitchinson and Jeremy Walker who featured for the Club-s Hyundai A-League side in the past fortnight and the defensive pair-s inclusion will further shore up the Heart-s already solid defence.

Jonatan Germano is set to make his long-awaited come-back from a calf injury, which is a big boost for the Club and Argentinean who has grappled with a number of injury set-backs in 2012.

But despite the potency of Palatsides- reinvigorated squad, which is still missing injured players Stipo Andrjasevic and Phil Petreski, Mariners will pose a difficult test on the road.

“The effort of all the boys in the squad has been exceptional, especially the last three weeks in trying conditions and circumstances,” Palatsides said.

“This week we have another difficult away trip against the Mariners, whom I consider to be the best team in the youth league.

“Winning is contagious, so I am hoping we can continue our recent good form.

“One thing I am sure about, is that the boys give a good account of themselves.”
