Heskey has made waves for the Jets since joining the club on the 21st of September and has featured in all of Newcastle-s seven matches so far this campaign.
With an impressive five goals to his name in those seven starts , the former England international is locked in second place on the goal scoring charts with Sydney FC’s marquee Alessandro Del Piero and behind the Central Coast Mariners- marksman Daniel McBreen.
Heskey scored his first A-League goal in a 3-2 away win over Sydney FC on October 13, before netting against the Mariners, popping up with a quick-fire brace against Melbourne Victory and finding the back of the net against the Western Sydney Wanderers.
While Heskey remained scoreless in his most recent outing as the Jets slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Wellington Phoenix yesterday, the former Liverpool target man may prove a handful for Heart-s defence this weekend.
