Melbourne Heart FC yesterday hosted a successful Invitational Tournament for girls from school teams in Melbourne-s northern suburbs.
Six schools fielded teams of girls in Years 9 and 10 in the inaugural tournament, which was a round robin event, held at John Fawkner College.
A closely contested competition meant that five schools were playing off for a place in the Grand Final in the final round of matches.
Girls from all teams will be invited to participate in the Melbourne Heart FC Girls with Heart team that will play at AAMI Park at a Harmony Day game in March 2014.
All teams have been invited to attend our home game on Nov 8th where Pascoe Vale Girls SC will be presented the trophy at half time.
